Antony Jenkins CBE, 10x Banking Founder, Chair and CEO
Antony Jenkins CBE is the Founder, Chair and CEO of 10x Future Technologies Group, a fintech company that aims to redefine how banks operate and engage with customers.
Additionally, since April 2021, Antony has been an external member of the Prudential Regulation Committee for the Bank of England. He is also Chair of Currencies Direct—the first non-bank foreign exchange payments specialists in the U.K.
Previously, Antony held leadership positions at Citigroup and Barclays PLC, including as Group Chief Executive Barclays(2012-2015).
Antony was awarded a CBE for services to business in the Queen’s Birthday Honours in June 2021.
Neil Cooper - Chief Financial Officer
Neil joined Currencies Direct in June 2017 as CFO. Neil leads the Finance, HR and compliance functions, as well as providing support to the Board and business across a range of activities, including tax, insurance and banking.
Neil has worked in a range of industries including FMCG, Leisure Retail and Housebuilding, having spent 10 years in listed-company CFO roles immediately prior to joining Currencies Direct. Neil is a Fellow of the institute of Chartered Management Accountants.
Jon Beddell - Chief Commercial Officer
Jon joined Currencies Direct in 2011 with more than 12 years’ in leadership roles within the international payments industry.
Jon is responsible for overall commercial performance, the delivery of significant partnerships, acquisitions and overseas expansion.
Leo Markides - Group Managing Director
Leo joined Currencies Direct in March 2011. He is responsible for the company's Information Technology architecture and providing senior level strategic and operational direction with the use of information to deliver value to Currencies Direct and its customers.
Leo has extensive experience in creating and executing market entry and growth strategies in the foreign exchange and payments sectors. He has worked with a number of businesses internationally, including Moneygram, the UK Post Office and American Express. His experience is enhanced by a mathematics degree from Warwick University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Vivek Awasthi - Chief Information Officer
Vivek joined Currencies Direct in February 2012 as Chief Technology Officer, having spent six months consulting to the business. Vivek is responsible for guiding the technology strategy, payment infrastructure and innovation of products and services at Currencies Direct.
Vivek is a bottom-line-oriented technology executive with more than 16 years of comprehensive experience in building new products, large-scale distributed systems and strategic payment platforms. Most recently, Vivek was the Chief Technology officer of ISTS Worldwide, a payment technology service provider, implementing payment strategy and technology solutions for a multitude of major players in the card and retail industry.
Vivek has a degree in mathematics and is a Certified Professional from ACS.
